About the MAKE BELIEVE BALLROOM host Jeff Bressler
Jeff Bressler has been a fan of the big band sounds of the 1930s and 1940s for decades. After a long career in broadcasting and announcing, Jeff has decided to lay back and devout all his time to his commercial-free ode to big band, swing and jazz music of the 1930s and 1940s via his MAKE BELIEVE BALLROOM.
The program is Jeff's tribute to the MAKE BELIEVE BALLROOM that was heard from the mid-1930s to the late 1980s on WNEW AM 1130 in New York.
Since its inception in July of 2020, the Ballroom has grown to be syndicated on over 20 public broadcasting and community radio stations across the US as well as in the UK, and also featured on numerous internet stations and Bressler's own SYNCOPATED TIMES RADIO NETWORK.
Jeff spent more than three decades announcing NASCAR short track racing and served as on-air talent and the news director for Motor Trend magazines Motor Trend Radio heard on over 200 stations on the Talk Radio Network, as well as Sirius XM and Genesis Radio. At the same time, he also served as news anchor on the multiple award-winning Auto World Radio. His popular O'Reilly Auto Parts Auto News Radio daily short-form updates were heard on multiple Sirius XM talk and sports channels as well as terrestrial radio stations across the country.
His announcing of the Verizon Fios 1 Weekly NASCAR Racing Series helped make it for many years the number one regional cable sports program in the northeast.
Bressler’s Speed Racing Radio, broadcasting from the WLUX studio on Long Island became a local must listen for area racing fans. The show was later nationally syndicated on Radio America.
